HOW A ENTERPRISE PRINT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Customer Windows Print Server Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the

organization's print infrastructure, ensuring high availability and efficiency of print services. You will work closely with both

on-site and remote users to resolve printing issues, coordinate upgrades, and provide expert support for Windows print

environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Windows print server infrastructure

  • Manage print queues, drivers, and printer deployments across the organization

  • Troubleshoot complex printing issues and provide timely resolutions

  • Configure and maintain print security policies and access controls

  • Monitor print server performance and implement optimizations

  • Plan and execute print server upgrades and migrations

  • Implement print accounting and monitoring solutions

  • Develop and maintain documentation for print server configurations and processes

  • Collaborate with network and system teams to ensure print infrastructure aligns with overall IT strategy

  • Provide training and support to end-users on printing best practices

  • Manage vendor relationships for printer hardware and software

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Windows server administration, with a focus on print services

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and print management

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy as it relates to printer deployment

  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and printer protocols

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex printing issues

  • Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

  • TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support for critical print infrastructure

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds

    Desired Skills:

  • Experience with enterprise print management software (e.g., PaperCut, PrinterLogic)

  • Knowledge of print security best practices and compliance requirements

  • Familiarity with scripting for automated printer deployment (PowerShell, VBScript)

  • Experience with cloud-based printing solutions

  • Understanding of print output management and pull printing concepts

  • Familiarity with various printer hardware brands and models

    Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.     The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $68,400-$143,700
