Department: Field Operations

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Service Supervisor

Location: Multiple states within the U.S.

Amount of Travel Required: >95%

Work Schedule:

  • Rotational- 2-weeks on/2 weeks off
  • Thursday-Wednesday shift (additional travel before and after)

POSITION SUMMARY: Equipment Operator I (EO 1) will perform assigned duties under the supervision of the Service Supervisors, while adhering to EVO operational and safety procedures. EO 1 may assist in operating, testing, and monitoring assigned equipment according to established guidelines of the company. EO 1 may assist with maintenance, operations, and rig up/ rig down (treating lines, hoses, tanks, cables, and wellhead connections) of mobile fracturing fleets in remote locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'may.') .

  • Successfully completes Short Service Employee (SSE) program by 6 months {(equivalent to 6 working rotations (3 months working experience)} from hire date.
  • Participates in company safety initiatives including daily programs (written documentation, observations, etc.) and adheres to policies and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees and drive operational excellence.
  • Works as a team to communicate, collaborate, and create strong alignment internally and externally with our partners.
  • Complies with all government, industry and EVO regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment according to EVO policy and procedures, ensuring unit is in safe operating condition for continuous operations.
  • Cleans and maintains tools and parts utilized during preventative maintenance.
  • Responsible for proppant and chemicals; recognizes equipment deficiencies, corrects them as necessary and reports them to Service Supervisors on site.
  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate, consistent with the company’s Operational Training Matrix and employee’s progression plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment aptitude and competency assessment(s).
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily overtime required and in-person, predictable attendance.
  • Proficient in the spoken English language. *

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of appropriate field experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prove aptitude in technical skillsets and competencies as listed below.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to speak and comprehend fundamental English.
  • Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
  • Attends and successfully completes annual safety and operations recertification training.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts for 14 consecutive days.
  • Moderate mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to take instruction and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change and receptive to new instructions.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become knowledgeable and compliant with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT: (Promotions may occur only after the following qualifications have been satisfied. Promotions are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of position openings.)

  • Time in Position: Minimum 12-18 months
  • Successful completion of Operational Training continuing education units for current position.
  • Demonstrated ability to prove aptitude in technical skillsets and competency assessments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. When required to go to a wellsite, employees will rideshare with multiple employees. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Equipment Operators are regularly required to lift heavy objects; therefore, Operator must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50-100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
