About this Role

FiberTel is looking for an experienced Estimator for our Utah market.

In this role, you will estimate telecom construction projects for us. A good Estimator will have a thorough understanding of PNW telecommunications construciton and the estimating process.

What You'll Do

• Pre-qualification with specified clients.
• Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
• Draft scope letters, proposals and vendor solicitations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, collaborations and conferences with clients and design professionals.
• Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner.
• Work alongside other estimators, project managers and project engineers on change orders and cost to complete estimates of ongoing projects.
• Determine appropriate construction methods for bidding purposes.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

What You'll Bring

• Estimator with Business development
• Needs to have 10 years experience in the Utah market with Telecommunications construction
• Needs to have 5 years experience estimating telecommunications construction projects
• Business development experience required
• Needs to have relationships with local PUD and Telcom providers in the PNW
• Need to be able to travel through PNW for business development and estimating

What You'll Get

Working Conditions: 

This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. 

Physical Requirements: 

The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
