Regional Risk and Resilience Management , Vice President, Regional Management, Executive Office

Regional Management 

The Bengaluru and Hyderabad Regional Management team works closely with Bengaluru and Hyderabad leadership to define and execute the strategy and key priorities of the region. Within this group, the Risk and Resilience Management lead works closely with regional leadership on defining the strategy and driving execution for key risk and resilience management priorities of the offices. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Role Description:

Responsibilities of the Risk and Resilience Management lead are aligned to supporting the definition of regional strategic and organizational priorities linked to risk and resilience management, and related execution, measurement and reporting. The role reports to the Bengaluru and Hyderabad chief of staff.

Key functional responsibilities include:

  • Risk Management
    • Develop an understanding of firmwide risk and resilience management framework, policies and tools 
    • Understand regulatory and compliance obligations for the region and proactively manage contingency plans and procedures to prevent business disruption
    • Proactively assess evolving regional risk profile on the basis of new functions coming into the region 
    • Develop a deep understanding of the regional contingent worker (CW) footprint and vendor dependencies, divisional dependency on CWs, and function level concentration, which can potentially impact execution
    • Program management of key projects for India risk and resilience management in partnership with project and divisional leads

  • Resilience management 
    • Act as a liaison between Bengaluru and Hyderabad leadership and divisions through close connectivity with regional divisional chiefs of staff and BCP coordinators 
    • Collaborate with senior divisional BCP coordinators to 
      • Ensure awareness and preparedness on any changes impacting the firms’ resilience posture e.g. work from home equipment policies, far-site changes, and help provide insights on divisional BCP strategies and high-risk areas
      • Manage BCP events in partnership with divisional BCP coordinators including highlighting stressed functions or other challenges amplified by the BCP event
    • Own calendar of events and coordinate execution of annual resilience activities for the region
    • Lead programs and activities for regional resilience assessments including tabletop drills, BCP certification, far site testing, far site seat allocation and other regional resilience plans
    • Collaborate with Crisis Management Center (CMC) for the region to ensure appropriate representation in the Incident Response Team (IRT) and an in-depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities of CMC, regional management, IRT, OGS, onsite solutions and divisional leaders in the event of a crisis

  • Committee and Council Responsibilities as Secretary to the Operational Risk and Resilience Council (ORRC) and Deputy Secretary to the India Regional Risk Committee (IRRC)
    • Program manage the OKR and milestones of ORRC and IRRC, holding milestone owners accountable for completion within the committed timelines
    • Curate the meeting content and draft meeting minutes to ensure what is presented is appropriate and is meaningful for the members to raise awareness, and drive actions and decisions

  • Regional Risk and Resilience Strategy and Communications
    • Annual business planning cadence including 
      • Identifying themes for the year, draft OKR and milestones 
      • Socializing the plan for the year with key stakeholders for feedback and inputs
      • Helping finalize membership renewal / changes
    • Own postings and material related to the regional risk management strategy as required for senior leadership updates and global committee updates

Skills required: 

  • Demonstrate a strong risk management mindset, challenge status quo with the objective of ensuring risks are identified and mitigated enabling resilience 
  • Program management: Ability to drive complex projects related to risk management and dynamic prioritization of asks
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders from a variety of management levels and cross-functional teams and influence them to deliver specific objectives
  • Critical and analytical thinking: Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and exercise a thoughtful approach to decision making
  • Data management and analysis: Gathering, mining, and analyzing data related to various BAU activities related to risk and resilience management or specific projects or initiatives
  • Strong communication: Ability to synthesize information and articulate risks and mitigants succinctly to senior management, verbally and through presentations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing circumstances with resilience and composure. 

 Basic Qualifications

  • Strong execution and project management skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and presentation skills, with 10-12 years of work experience, preferably in similar role 
  • Adept at researching on new and trending technologies and translating the industry knowledge to applying it at the firm
  • Excellent interpersonal, client relationship and communication (written and verbal) skills, including being comfortable dealing with people at a senior level
  • Motivated self-starter, inquisitive, enthusiastic with impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to cope with multiple demands on time and prioritize accordingly
  • Ability to navigate the organization 
  • Exposure to business continuity planning is a plus
  • Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint
