Our MBA Summer Intern Position:

As an MBA Summer Intern, you'll dive into a project closely aligned with your chosen area of expertise throughout the summer. This project will be directly relevant to a specific aspect of your assignment area. Towards the end of the summer, you'll individually present your findings to a team of senior executives at NextEra Energy. Additionally, your experience will include:

• Engaging in lunch-and-learn sessions with our company leadership

Key Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
• Currently enrolled in the first year of a full-time MBA program
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results, problem-solve, and collaborate with diverse groups
• Proficiency in communicating effectively through oral presentations, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Capacity to work autonomously while effectively managing matrixed support teams
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S.  
• A genuine desire to experience life in the beautiful Juno Beach, Florida area

Job Overview

This job is an approximate 12-week internship. Employees in this role work on strategic pre-assigned projects over the course of a summer. Projects are relevant to a particular aspect of the respective area of the employee's assignment and related to the commercial strategy of the respective business area. Employees in this role complete a formal presentation near the end of summer to a team of NextEra Energy senior executives. Other required activities include team building, training, networking, and community outreach engagements. Eligible candidates must be enrolled full time at a university-based school of business, pursuing an MBA and graduating in a forthcoming academic year. Successful candidates selected for this program will be invited to participate based on their relevant work experience and skills such as: knowledge of corporate finance principles; strong bias for action; ability to work with limited direction/supervision; project management technical capability; and professional communications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand commercial opportunities in tactical areas pertaining to renewable energy strategy
• Analyze and articulate economic value of various business alternatives
• Support the negotiation of deals with regulators and businesses
• Communicate with stakeholders to advance an idea or proposal
• Galvanize support from internal subject matter experts
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
