Job Description Summary:

PayPal is a global company operating in the competitive and dynamic Payments industry. The Finance function plays a critical role in our product development lifecycle and in shaping the future of money. PayPal is seeking a driven and experienced finance professional to join our global Finance Product Enablement team. Members of this team play a direct role in the success of new product launches such as cryptocurrency, real-time payments, bill pay, and buy now, pay later, among others. The Finance Product Enablement Manager is part of the Finance Enablement, Controls and Transformation team within the Finance organization. The Finance Product Enablement Manager will work closely with Finance, Product, Technology, Sales, Risk, Legal and Compliance functions to support the execution of the product roadmap. This will include partnering with upstream and downstream teams to manage portfolio and capacity planning and prioritization, finance impact assessment, project management, project execution and reporting. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Finance Product Enablement.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand the roadmap and strategic objectives of assigned product portfolios, assess for Finance impacts and influence outcomes to deliver Finance solutions aligned to those strategic objectives
  • Proactive partnership across Finance, Product, Technology, Sales, Risk, Legal and Compliance teams to enable timely execution of product offerings, driving bottom line growth
  • Understand the connection points across Finance Functions and ensure that Finance requirements are integrated with the product solution
    • Provide project management support for key product initiatives that have significant impact on Finance functions
    • Proactively manage key stakeholders to escalate potential risks/issues of cross-functional relevance; assist in developing mitigation strategies and support their implementation
    • Provide status reports, including scorecard development
    • Provide leadership and support in the on-going development and implementation of Finance Enablement, Controls and Transformation strategies
    • Support strategic goals to improve and drive efficiency and effectiveness in order to deliver global consistency, scalability and accountability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, or Business degree, MBA a plus
  • 6-10+ years of relevant experience in Finance Operations, Finance Systems, and/or Finance Process Reengineering
  • Experience in payments, banking, or fintech industry preferred
  • Demonstrated project management experience and a passion for the payments space
  • Demonstrated organizational agility and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Significant intellectual curiosity and desire to learn PayPal Finance and Product functions
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving, influencing skills and decision-making adeptness.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem solving aptitude
  • Ability to successfully partner with the stakeholders and functional managers within Finance and Product and across PayPal Senior Management.
  • Exceptional communication skills; working with remote teams is critical to success.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, however, collaboration as part of a uniquely qualified team is required
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
  • Proficient and creative in developing financial reporting, score cards and presentations
  • Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risk of issue presented; make recommendations and/or resolve the issue
  • Ability to set priorities, create project plans, and monitor progress towards goals/activities
  • Highly dependable, with ability to drive things to conclusion across teams
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Experience in working with business intelligence and reporting tools.
