Amount of Travel Required: Less than 10%

Work Schedule: Mon. to Fri. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Overtime as business requires.)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Fixed Asset and Inventory Manager will play a key role in transforming our accounting processes and supporting the Oracle Fusion ERP implementation. This position is responsible for developing and implementing efficient inventory and asset management strategies, ensuring financial data integrity, and delivering critical reporting and insights to executive leadership.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within a dynamic environment, requiring strong collaboration with supply chain, operations, and finance to ensure inventory and asset management aligns with broader business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who excels in costing methodologies, CAPEX planning, and process standardization while also challenging the status quo to improve financial processes. This role will lead a team of two analysts and drive accountability across departments to establish clear controls, efficient workflows, and accurate reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'may.')

Inventory & Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Oversee and improve inventory valuation, costing methodologies, and reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate reporting of inventory balances, including work-in-progress (WIP), raw materials, and finished goods
  • Strengthen inventory controls, tracking, and visibility by partnering with supply chain and operations
  • Manage fixed asset ledgers, ensuring proper tracking of acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
  • Oversee CAPEX tracking and reporting, ensuring alignment with budgets and project approvals

Process Improvement & ERP Transition

  • Lead efforts to transition from Sage to Oracle Fusion, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting
  • Identify gaps in current processes and drive standardization and automation efforts
  • Develop and enforce clear policies, controls, and reconciliation procedures
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to break down silos and ensure alignment across teams.

Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of two analysts
  • Serve as a strategic partner to finance, operations, and supply chain teams, ensuring financial alignment
  • Provide monthly financial analysis, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Ensure AFE and PO processes support asset purchases and budget controls

Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Develop key inventory and asset metrics, providing leadership with actionable insights
  • Lead the annual/quarterly CAPEX and inventory budget planning process
  • Implement strategies to reduce excess and obsolete inventory
  • Support capital allocation decisions through balance sheet and cash flow analysis
  • Ensure robust internal controls and compliance for inventory and asset management
  • Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, an any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).

  • Good general accounting skills and knowledge, ability to identify and follow up on discrepancies
  • MS Office and Excel capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity, address complex client needs, and deliver top-tier results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing project scopes, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality delivery.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certification: CPA, CMA preferred, but not required
  • Experience: 7+ years in accounting and finance sector

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong background in costing methodologies and CAPEX planning
  • Experience leading teams and driving process improvements in complex organizations
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage preferred, Oracle Fusion a plus)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to challenge outdated processes and push for continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities at all organizational levels
  • High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset

Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. The Fixed Asset and Inventory Manager works primarily indoors and will be sitting prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.  The Fixed Asset and Inventory Manager may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, The Fixed Asset and Inventory Manager must be able to lift 25lbs.

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job demands.
