OUR IMPACT

The Structured Finance Group within the Investment Banking Division in New York is looking for an Associate with current investment banking (or related finance) experience to join the team.

The Structured Finance group works with clients to finance assets, businesses and risks within their overall business.  Each structured finance desk offers specialized client coverage, product expertise, capital markets expertise, deal execution and dialogue with thought-leading investors.  

Transportation team’s product suite includes securitizations (across aircraft, engines, ships, railcars, container boxes, etc.), EETC financings for airlines, principal financing in the form of warehouses and term loans, asset sales, as well as corporate bonds and term loan B issuances. 

Given the interaction with groups across the firm globally, Structured Finance provides exposure to a breadth of activities and deal types.  These include securitizations, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, asset sales and secured lending. As aircraft and shipping are dollar denominated businesses, this is a team with a global remit.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Role Responsibilities 

  • Originate, structure, analyze, model cash flows, execute and facilitate the distribution of securitization and general asset-based financing transactions 
  • Manage live deal execution, including running due diligence processes, negotiating financing documentation, managing rating agency processes, drafting organizing and attending deal and non-deal roadshows and liaising other investment banks and other parties internally and externally

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, asset management and / or investment / actuarial consulting
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, preferred but not needed
  • Self-starter with an ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance
  • Comfort operating in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to interact with a variety of groups and professionals across different disciplines

Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
