Business Unit Description / Overview:
One Goldman Sachs (One GS) is the firm’s cross-business strategy to provide a more comprehensive and integrated approach to serving our global client franchise. Through One GS, our objective is to leverage the full capabilities and relationship network of Goldman Sachs, to simplify access to the firm for our clients, and to promote a holistic long-term coverage ethos.
The One GS Business Development Team acts as the centralized point of connectivity between Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Global Banking & Markets (GBM) to drive commercial opportunities across businesses. The team delivers the full capabilities of the firm aligned with client life cycles to enhance the holistic relationship and coverage of these clients.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain deep relationships across Investment Banking industry groups, Wealth Management teams, investment sleeves in Asset Management Private and other business lines in order to create a deep understanding of client needs and opportunities
- Strategize on significant Investment Banking mandates to form firmwide deal teams and integrate cross-business resources to provide holistic solutions to clients ahead of transactions
- Provide client solutions by managing cross-business client introductions across the firm through understanding clients’ objectives and the Firm’s breadth of offerings
- Grow client wallet share and think holistically and expansively about client relationships and where the firm can add value across the client’s organization
- Provide key stakeholder teams accurate, real-time data to drive accountability, measure success, and enable better mapping of opportunities of enhanced client service
- Own various pipelines, business metrics, referrals tracking, and cross-business revenue and databases
- Partner with Engineering, Finance, Operations and Compliance to drive the build-out of processes, infrastructure and tech solutions to streamline data management, transparency and reporting related to these initiatives

Team-Specific Prerequisites:
- Results-oriented with the ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong interpersonal professionalism and client service skills including the ability to communicate effectively with very senior stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial self-starter who will take initiative, learn quickly and work independently. High degree of organization required
- Understanding of all businesses at the firm and how they serve clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including dynamic public speaking and effective presentation skills.
- Ability to synthesis data, including data verification and data analysis exercises
- Team-oriented mindset and desire to contribute to a collaborative culture, with the ability to manage various stakeholders
