FICC & Equities

We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS 

We sit in the Global Banking & Markets division (GBM) where GS clients buy and sell financial products in every asset class and region, raise funding, and manage risk. 

We help key stakeholders to understand some of the biggest and most complex clients of the firm. Working closely with sales, trading, strats, and other divisions of the firm, we dig into business opportunities, client strategy and data to help deliver the best of GS to our clients. 

This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for business development and our clients. We are looking for individuals with strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as innovative thinkers who thrive in fast-paced environments and with senior exposure.

Role Overview: 

The Management & Strategy Team works as an internal consultant to deliver innovative and business-changing recommendations that form the core of revenue/ product verticals globally. The team in Bangalore acts as an integral part of the global management and strategy group. 

The role majorly involves creation of memos for client meetings and client interaction analysis. Client Memo preparation is a detail-oriented task which requires utmost priority and last-minute drills during senior leadership visits. 

The broad range of responsibilities offer candidates an opportunity to understand the GBM business more closely and along with comprehensive training provide broad exposure and access to a first-class network aiding career advancement. 

Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Client Memos are 1-3 page reports highlighting revenues, qualitative information about the client. This role would require a good know how of our business, revenue systems and good relationship with sales to get required client info. 
  • Interact with Franchise Management teams & SCC (Strategic Client Coverage) team across business units and regions 
  • Work closely with senior business leaders to monitor and drive key business initiatives 
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and coordinate effectively with global colleagues 
  • Continually endeavor to gain in-depth knowledge and enhance the understanding of Securities structures, Products and Global markets 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Finance, Economics, Business or Commerce or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 1-2 year of experience in financial services industry, preferably in research 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills 
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong understanding of Global Markets Business and Products
