GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS

We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted segment that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

OUR IMPACT

The CDG (Confirmation Drafting Group) is primarily responsible for the drafting of the legal confirmations on OTC (over the counter) trades booked for the Interest Rates Derivatives business. This involves the daily monitoring of outstanding trades covering a wide range of IRP businesses and products.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Critical functions to be performed are listed below: 

• Generate Trade Legal Confirmation to match the intention of the trade by reviewing the Trade booking and Trade recap.
• Develop a deep knowledge of Interest Rates and derivative transactions.
• Experience in Interest Rates Derivative and/or Derivative process.
• Daily interaction with Trading & Sales to ensure discrepancies are resolved immediately.
• Engage with front office and technology to help facilitate the resolution of technical production issues.
• Ensure that processes are continually reviewed and improved, risk is managed, and results are achieved that meet expectations for timeliness, quality and cost effectiveness within the department
• Review and send Start of Day and End of Day reports to senior management.
• Escalate outstanding trades in Critical category risk to senior management.
• Understanding of Interest Rates markets and products along with basic financial knowledge and terms.
• High Level understanding of ISDA Terms and Definitions       

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4-8 years of experience in financial services
• Candidate must be comfortable in a high-pressured environment
• Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and attention to detail
• Aptitude for building relationships, along with the ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal and external clients with differing levels of product experience
• Excellent written, communication and presentations skills
• Integrity and passion for working in a competitive environment
• Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects & tasks, has

  strong organizational skills and effectively manages competing priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with OTC Derivatives Documentation, preferably with experience in Interest Rates

  Products, FX, Credit Derivative

• Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
