Alternatives Structuring Group
The Alternatives Structuring Group (ASG) is a newly formed global team within the Alternatives team in Asset and Wealth Management Division (AWM) and focuses on client optimization for both existing and new Alternatives products, funds, and other clients, developing & implementing tax and other efficient structures and products and supporting client engagement across AWM’s alternatives complex globally, specifically in Private Equity , Private Credit, Infrastructure and Real Estate. ASG partners closely with investment teams, fundraising and client relationship teams to deliver on this strategy.
Role Overview & Job Responsibilities
ASG is seeking an Associate in London to support and collaborate with the Head of ASG EMEA. The candidate must have strong knowledge of UK tax specifically in alternatives and/or wealth products, and a good knowledge of OECD/international and US tax concepts would be helpful. The candidate must be enthusiastic to learn the latest developments in UK and international tax laws and be able to think creatively about planning strategies to mitigate tax leakage for funds and clients. The role will also require the ability to quantitatively model various planning proposals/strategies. In addition, the individual should have strong communication skills such that he/she is able to clearly and concisely explain structures and concepts to the Head of ASG EMEA as well as other senior business leaders within ASG and AWM. The ASG team is a global team based in New York and London, with Asia coverage as well.
