LDI / Pensions Solutions Analyst (LN)

We are looking for a candidate to join the Fixed Income Pensions Solutions portfolio management team, a fast-growing business within GSAM Fixed Income. GSAM Fixed Income Pension Solutions team is recognized an industry leader in providing innovative solutions to pension clients. The team manages over £80bn in fixed income Cashflow Driven Investing (CDI), Buy and Maintain Credit, Liability Driven Investing (LDI) and other customized multi sector fixed income strategies for pension and other institutional clients globally. The ideal candidate is passionate about portfolio management, quantitative investment analysis, building and managing customized client portfolio solutions and supporting a high degree of client service. Responsibilities include:

• Working with the Client Solutions Group to prepare materials and provide timely and accurate market commentary as part of the client portfolio reporting process (including DDQs, bluebooks, monthly/quarterly reports)
• Support new business opportunities, improving our product proposition, completion of request-for-proposal documentation in addition to providing broad support to sales teams
• Developing opportunity specific solutions for clients’ pension plans, including recommendations on asset allocations, target leverage levels, hedge ratios, and preferred instruments for portfolio construction
• Modelling prospective portfolios and constructing trades for LDI and Buy & Maintain and Cash Flow Matching portfolios based on investment guidelines
• Monitoring portfolio market risk and positioning consistency across portfolios
• Helping develop investment strategies for each of our bespoke liability-driven and cashflow-driven fixed income accounts
• Analysing and attributing portfolio performance 

Skills / Experience

• Strong quantitative, analytical and presentation skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Curious individual with strong critical thinking skills who enjoys problem-solving
• Knowledge and understanding of Fixed Income and Credit markets
• Understanding of portfolio construction, trading, or risk management techniques is preferred
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as thrive within a fast-paced team environment
