Job Description Summary:

PayPal is a global company operating in the competitive and dynamic payments Industry. The Treasury function at PayPal plays a critical role in managing PayPal’s liquidity, market, and counterparty related risks and is responsible for ensuring compliance with liquidity and capital regulatory requirements globally.

The EMEA Treasury team is responsible for overseeing Treasury activities for our regulated entities in the region. This includes liquidity and capital management, investment management, regulatory ratio management, and overseeing compliance with entity policies and procedures.

PayPal Treasury is seeking a driven and analytical UK Treasury Manager with relevant experience to join our EMEA Treasury team. In this role, you will establish world class Treasury management standards, and drive processes that enable PayPal to scale with its rapid growth while ensuring robust controls.

You will partner with multiple teams within and outside Treasury and have broad exposure to all core Treasury activities, while working with management across the regions, and have a particular focus on PayPal UK.

Job Description:

Your way to impact

  • You will be responsible for PayPal UK Treasury coverage, effectively managing financial resources, and complying with entity policies and regulatory requirements.
  • You will partner closely with our Global Treasury team and local entity management.

Your day-to-day

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing PayPal UK entity capital and liquidity.
  • Managing regional regulatory relationships and respond to requests from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
  • Managing entity regulatory requirements such as UK Safeguarding, together with entity Finance controllership teams.
  • Overseeing entity asset liability management (ALM), balance sheet forecasts, regulatory metrics, and stress testing.
  • Overseeing PPUK investment portfolio, ensuring compliance with external requirements and internal policies.

What do you need to bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proven ability to work and take initiative to problem solve with minimal direction
  • Experience in treasury and familiarity with financial statements
  • Familiarity with UK and/or European financial regulation
  • Able to quickly understand complex process flows and drive process improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
