Job Description:

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who has strong Linux and SPLUNK experience. This individual provides support for the overall workload and execution of tasks for the ecosystem platform. The successful candidate has a growth mindset and is willing to learn new related technologies working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for architecting, designing, managing, and maintaining all aspects of IT hardware and software cloud infrastructure (Linux servers, network, security, etc.).

  • Leverage tools such as Splunk to conduct log analysis, security monitoring and visualizations to drive optimal system performance and reliability.

  • Conduct complex analysis and troubleshooting of IT systems.

  • Leverage automation where possible to enforce configuration management consistency.

  • Apply security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.

  • Assist with the engineering, architecture, and support of new infrastructure IT projects.

  • Managing security updates, patching server vulnerabilities, and maintaining a secure network environment

  • Maintaining existing ServiceNow, Splunk and Tableau infrastructure

  • Reporting system performance using dashboards and other visual representations of data

  • Designing, developing, and implementing new features for ServiceNow, Splunk and Tableau products

  • Participating in defining requirements for new products and features, testing prototypes, and providing feedback for improvement

  • Work with other developers and the Scrum Master to communicate current development effort status and any blockers in the daily Scrum meetings

  • Responsible for ensuring that the software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process

  • Will assist in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques during the development process

Qualifications:

 

Required: 

  • An Active TS/SCI Clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph

  • 7+ years' experience and demonstrated knowledge supporting IT systems

  • Current Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

  • 5 years' work experience with the design, installation, administration, and maintenance of Linux and/or Windows systems

  • 3 years' work experience managing a Splunk Platform, creating Splunk applications, and using IT Service Intelligence (ITSI)

  • RedHat Linux administration experience

  • Knowledge of Linux security best practices

  • Experience working within Scrum and Agile environments

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a service-oriented mindset

  • Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering or Cybersecurity

Desired:

  • Experience with enterprise technologies such as Splunk, Amazon Cloud services, and others

  • Working knowledge of Tableau server administration

  • Knowledge of AWS security best practices

  • Experience with Gitlab version control and configuration management processes

  • Ansible system automation

  • Experience with High Availability Proxy

  • Scripting Skills such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, and/or PowerShell

  • AWS Automation knowledge

  • Collaboration tools such as Confluence

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
