Innovation Engineering Program Coordinator

Location: Houston, TX (The Woodlands)                   

Amount of Travel Required: 0% - 5%

Work Schedule: Mon.-Fri., 8am-5pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Innovation Engineering Program Coordinator at Evolution Well Services (EVO), you will oversee project management, reporting, employee engagement, and recognition for EVO's innovation engineering projects across the company. You will collaborate with various project managers, subject matter experts and senior leadership. Ensuring that selected projects receive the appropriate priority and that schedules, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined and adhered to. You will coordinate and lead regular meetings to review all innovation portal submissions, working with the Innovation Projects Committee members to determine a disposition for each submission. Additionally, you will track all projects in collaboration with the assigned project managers and subject matter experts. You will also be responsible for administering the Innovation Engineering employee recognition and rewards program. Along with other special projects as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'May.')

  • Will act to review and properly evaluate all Evolution innovation portal submissions with appropriate internal subject matter experts and dispositioning of those submissions. (Accept, Reject or Needs Further Information Provided)
  • Hosting and leading project management committee meetings on a regular cadence
  • Build out and active management and updating of EVO project tracking dashboard
  • Tracking of all sanctioned projects from inception to close out, with clearly established project priorities, deliverables, milestones and timelines for each project and communicated
  • Will act as liaison for all communications with innovation portal submitters 
  • Will act as liaison for all communications with assigned project managers and executive leadership
  • Ensuring establishment of project Microsoft Teams pages and links within the project tracking dashboard to each active project
  • Buildout and administration of Innovation Engineering Employee recognition and rewards program.
  • Workload balancing across the pool of approved project managers in the company
  • Project Priority setting with executive leadership, ensuring only the projects that are most critical to the success of the business are getting adequate resources and that milestone dates are being upheld, and ensuring elimination of duplicate project efforts across the business
  • Executive leadership project status report summaries to be provided on a regular cadence
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to identify and implement creative ideas and process enhancements. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully passes background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and any prerequisite competency assessments.
  • Possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Daily predictable attendance at workstation

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Minimum 4-year technical degree
  • 0-3 years work experience
  • Project Management professional (PMP) certification
  • Prior project management experience is a plus

  • Experience and/or education in project management
  • Exceptional level of organizational skill able to handle many different concurrent projects across the business
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, digital tools, apps, and other advanced software.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to analyze and prioritize work tasks
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a large and geographically diverse team
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a foundation in teamwork.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and maintain meticulous attention to detail.

The Innovation Engineering Program Coordinator works primarily indoors and will be sitting for prolonged periods at a desk, while typing on a computer, whether in home office, corporate office, client office, or EVO jobsite.  Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. When required to visit a wellsite, the Innovation Engineering Program Coordinator’s environment may include exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions, if visiting a pad, the Innovation Engineering Program Coordinator may be required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. The Innovation Engineering Program Coordinator must be able to lift 25 lbs. independently, and will be required to walk, climb, bend, reach, squat/kneel.  

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job necessity.
