Job Description

To gain valuable insight into Navy Federal's business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. Participate in a collaborative, team driven network and interact with multiple departments. Receive guidance and direction from team and management. Utilize and further develop technical and soft skills, business knowledge, analytical techniques and creative problem solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day to day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures. This is a year-round, Full or Part -Time, flexible internship based on school schedule.

To set up and maintain records within the Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP). To assist Member Services in answering mortgage related inquiries and questions regarding active loans for members, internal customers, and third parties.

A requirement of this position is you must be currently enrolled in college level courses or a degree-seeking program throughout the duration of the internship. Please upload your transcripts by adding them to the “Intern Proof of Enrollment” section of the application.

Qualifications

  • Effective skill examining and interpreting information quickly and accurately
  • Must be pursing degree from an accredited college/university
Responsibilities
  • Set up and review the scheduled drafting system for all loans on automatic payments; implement and update automatic member payment options for mortgage and equity loans.
  • Process online communication requests to review and update member loans by Navy Federal employees. 
  • Review data reports identifying possible discrepancies in member information and correct within MSP.
  • Review and process member requests for expedited equity loan checks.
  • Review accounts on Budget Easy Pay with funds in suspense and contact members to resolve, review reports of compromised automatic payment accounts and update accordingly.
  • Process Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC) credit card order requests.
  • Assist the Mortgage Correspondence team by providing detailed information responding to member letters and Navy Federal Online Account Access (NFOAA) correspondence, and monitor the fax database and distribute or respond appropriately to faxes received from members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
