POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the support and operating effectiveness of Accounting and Finance applications, tools, and other IT applications. The Application Support Senior Analyst will work closely with the Corporate Accounting team, key stakeholders, and business users. This role will also be responsible for utilizing RPA, VBA, PowerBi, OneStream, and other Microsoft products to build automation into key processes. The position will be responsible, under the direct supervision of the Internal Control & Process Change Manager, for accurate and timely reporting of control effectiveness and design of key processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'May.')

  • Application / tool support to automate key processes in Accounting / Finance.
  • Sponsor and prioritization of automation initiatives to help structure and create efficiency within core functional areas.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement them withing existing process areas.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation into key processes.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and other reporting enhancements in support of the Accounting / Finance function.
  • Organize collaboration sessions and conduct process review and process mapping sessions to fully document and understand key processes while identifying opportunities to simplify and standardize across the organization.
  • Communication as necessary to answer questions and inform business partners concerning controls and documentation requirements.
  • Work with the Business Controllers, Business stakeholders to implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Act as application SME to assist new users and key stakeholders in use of tools and resource.
  • Organize collaboration sessions as needed to remove roadblocks and bridge communication gaps.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment screening, pre-employment aptitude and competency assessment(s).
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily in person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting and 3 years expereince in accounting / finance / IT sector experience
  • CPA preferred, but not required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting

Experience:

  • Three+ years in
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise written and verbal communication of results.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with people operating at all levels of the company in a variety of situations
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years with Microsoft Word
  • 3+ years with Microsoft SQL (T-SQL)
  • 3+ years with DataBricks
  • 3+ years with Power BI
  • 3+ years with Microsoft Visio
  • Familiarity with requirements-gathering techniques, such as interviewing, prototyping, mind mapping and others.
  • Prior experience with administering (user creation, workflows, technical troubleshooting) third-party systems.
  • Familiar with reading and producing technical documentation (e.g., mapping documents and vendor specifications).
  • Ability to read and write T-SQL of moderate complexity.
  • Ability to edit and create new Power BI data sets and reports of moderate complexity.
  • Ability to read code of moderate complexity in other languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, C#).

The Internal Control Application Support Senior Analyst works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, they may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, they should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.

Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
