Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an IT Specialist Sr to support a network operations program for Navy/Marine Corp intranet in Kansas City, MO. The team is seeking an individual with a dynamic skill set in network operations, system administration, end-user support to support the largest contract vehicle for the Marine Corps intranet.

Clearance: Secret clearance required 

Location: Kansas City, MO (100% on site)   

Responsibilities of the IT Specialist Sr:  

•      Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting in order to maintain optimum Information Technology (IT) system operations.

•      Design and oversee upgrades and new installs of IT systems and services ensuring coordination with Cyber Security Specialist.

•      Perform Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking.

•      Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of Internet Protocol (IP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and routing protocols.

•      Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems ensuring current network operations are sustained or oversee their recovery.

•      Provide generalized IT support/end-user support duties to include; responding to remedy tickets, active directory triage, account creation, troubleshooting, Windows server administration, break/fix troubleshooting, network connectivity troubleshooting, and VPN/VTC setup 

Qualifications of the IT Specialist Sr: 

• 10+ years of related experience in desktop support, system administration, network operations, software and hardware installation, and troubleshooting
• Secret clearance required
• IAT II Certification Required
• CCNP, CCDP, MTA, MCSA, OR MCTS required
• Experience with Tier 2/3 IT support
  • Troubleshooting for hardware/software/network devices/peripherals
  • Experience with troubleshooting and account creation in Active Directory/Exchange
  • Any cloud or networking experience

 Compensation of the IT Specialist Sr: 

•      Total compensation based on experience level – $80,000 – $105,000

•      Full Benefits; PTO/Holiday, 401K Match, Certification reimbursement

•      Long term program – funded through 2028
