Job Description:

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a collaborative junior-level Software Engineer to work with Unity Software Developers, Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and government customer throughout the development and testing of complex media simulations. Develop new and existing technologies and software solutions using front-end and/or back-end skillsets. Support the ongoing management and updates of the classified network and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop web-based applications that will serve content to thousands of users across the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Develop software designs using best practices and object-oriented methodologies. Software will be developed using an agile-scrum development style, in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team including designers, architects, and systems engineers.
  • Perform mid-level development, test, analysis, and validation of software.
  • Collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices ensuring a high-quality standard.
  • Familiar with good configuration management practices and will be responsible for proper code maintenance, merging, and configuration management.
  • Install and configure software, hardware and networks
  • Ensure security and efficiency of hardware (Servers, laptop and desktop computers) and IT infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience. 
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development methodology and associated tools.
  • Experience developing software in C#.
  • Experience debugging code.
  • Experience with Agile development.
  • Experience with network and information system security principles and test practices in a classified and unclassified environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Communication skills to interface with government and contractors to represent technical and programmatic positions. 
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Work independently with accountability for accurate and complete results. 
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Desired:

  • Strong attention to detail and solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Sec+ or any level II DoD 8570 compliant cert
  • Experience with software testing procedures, Integrated and Delivery testing events
  • Experience with documenting test results and coordinating results to the government and developers
  • Familiar with Software Development Lifecycle

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$52,700-$105,400
