Note: This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in the office 3 days per week at the Jersey City, NJ Corporate Office location.

Job Summary:

As part of our Fixed Income development team at SumRidge Partners (a company of Raymond James), this Lead Developer will analyze business requirements and drive research to design technical solutions that support our SumRidge Trading System. In this role, you will be responsible to perform activities associated with all stages of SDLC, lead and collaborate with team members and various stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.
  • Partner with a cross-functional team to imagine, design, develop, and test.
  • Participate in the development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale software applications, systems, and services.
  • Build relationships with Development Managers, Engineers and Project Managers across various teams.
  • Stay up to date with tools, trends, technologies and frameworks and develop proof of concepts.
  • Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.
  • Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
  • Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
  • Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Skilled in / Knowledge of:

  • Solid experience in working with all stages of SDLC.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to coordinate with all stake holders of the application (Peers, IT Partners, Business Operations and Vendors).
  • Proven experience working as a Lead C#/.NET Developer in Financial Services is a plus.
  • Solid programming experience with C#.NET.
  • Good knowledge with WinForms and WPF.
  • Experience with Infragistics Framework.
  • Experience with multithreading programming.
  • Experience with SQL.

Education/Previous Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor%26rsquos degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training and experience approved by HR.
  • At least to five (5) or more years of experience in Design, Development and Support of Data-Driven, all aspects of SDLC in a highly scalable multi-tier applications in distributed environments is preferred.
  • Financial Services experience is preferred.
