Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or - Position: Advanced Diagnostics Team (DDR System)

Title: - Lead Engineer, Sr Exp required: - 8 + yrs. Opportunity: You will be part of DDR team and will be responsible to Test case execution, debugging and triaging the issues. Investigate and troubleshoot system/software stability issues found in various Qualcomm chipsets covering multi-processor, multi-RTOS systems. Collaborate with Hardware, development, tools teams to resolve issues. This may involve working closely with geographically distributed teams spread across time-zones

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

UEFI / HLOS Quest framework development and opportunity to develop system level tests for DDR technology LP4x/LP5x, Peripherals (PCIE, UFS, USB, SD card), Multimedia (GPU, Camera, Video), Q6 etc. Opportunity to get the understanding of DDR technology. Will be responsible for driving multiple programs. Need to work on issues with multiple teams. DDR Memory System Validation Engineer - SW Systems Engineer.

• The charter of the CoreBSP-DDR SW System team is to ensure that the end-product qualifies the defined acceptance criteria for DDR by meeting stability, Power, and Performance Goals. • The team is looking for a candidate who has strong understating of system level test methodologies and run validations on mobile systems.

 • The position involves Understanding of SOC Architecture and DDR SW Systems, identifying and debugging DDR systems issues (memory corruptions, Memory Lockups, Bit flips, memory leaks etc..) reported by memory validation and running system level validations tests.

• The engineer would have opportunity to interact with different SW & HW teams to understand DDR systems. • This position gives an exposure to understand various quality stages from product development to commercial launch of the product.

• Good analytical / problem solving / sound reasoning skills

 • Good understanding SOC systems knowledge level tests validation methodologies.

 • Good understanding in working android environment

• Experience of core BSP driver level development and debug.

• Good understating of working debug tools like JTAG/TRACE.

 • Awareness of RTOS operating system fundamentals / processor architecture /embedded system and microprocessor concepts.

 • Understanding of DRAM technologies (LPDDR&PCDDR) and working on DRAM interface signal analysis is big plus

• The candidate is expected to be self-driven to quickly get up to speed on various aspects of DDR validation & flexible to take-up tasks as per the project needs Preferred skills: Proficiency in C programming. Good understanding of Computer Architecture and Embedded systems concepts. Knowledge of multi-processor, multi-threaded system, inter-process, and inter-processor communication OS (High level OS and RTOS) concepts (Scheduling, Threads, Synchronization, Memory Management etc). Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks. Strong aptitude, quick learner, self-motivated, willing to explore and work across breadth of various technology areas.  

Level of Responsibility:

•    Works independently with minimal supervision.    

•    Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.

•    Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

•    Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
