What you’ll be doing...

As a Problem Manager within the SLED PMO supporting the Commonwealth of VA, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of all network problems within the program. The primary objectives are to prevent Incidents from happening, and to minimize the impact of Incidents that cannot be prevented.

This position will be a POC for any incidents that occur within the network. This person will work with the client, the agency, the integrator and the Verizon Network Operations Center and other groups to restore services as quickly as possible. This position will also ensure all associated reports  related to incidents (ie RCAs) are produced and provided to the client.



What we’re looking for...

  • Experience in cross-functional support

  • Experience in engineering

  • Experience in writing Root Cause Analysis documents

  • Experience in escalation management

  • Experience in Problem resolution support



You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Willingness to participate/lead troubleshooting bridges for issues

  • Experience with spreadsheets, Smartsheets, and other program management platforms



Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with Verizon order, provisioning and management systems

  • Experience with driving change adoption within a complex organization

  • Experience with ETMS and/or VREPAIR ticketing system 

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Autonomous and adept at managing multiple, overlapping, and sometimes competing priorities.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
