General Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various machine learning KPIs to identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Drive changes and optimizations in software, architecture, and micro-architecture to enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with experts across hardware and software teams to implement performance improvements.
  • Conduct performance testing and benchmarking of multi-threaded and multi-processor software.
  • Develop and maintain tools for performance analysis and optimization.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer architecture, micro-architecture, and large language and visual models.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in computer architecture and micro-architecture.
  • Experience with multi-threaded and multi-processor software development.
  • Familiarity with the architectures of large language models and large visual models.
  • Proficiency in performance analysis and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with performance profiling tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or similar.
  • Understanding of hardware-software co-design principles.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

•    2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$180,400.00 - $270,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
