To manage, plan, and direct the activities of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, supporting Navy Federal Credit Union's (NFCU) Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) in effectively overseeing its enterprise portfolios, processes, value delivery, and governance thereof to achieve strategic business outcomes. This role reports to the AVP, Enterprise Portfolio Governance and supports both the vision and direction of the VP and SVP of Enterprise Portfolio Management Office.

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Extensive experience developing, implementing, and leading, governing, and/or analyzing the value of portfolios using Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) frameworks
- Significant experience in building rapport and trust with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors, using diplomacy, and tact
- Expert skill exercising initiative and sound judgment to make informed decisions
- Extensive experience in leading and managing complex, large enterprise-wide initiatives/projects in diverse and operationally complex environments, preferably in the financial services sector
- Advanced consultative, conflict resolution, negotiation skills to gain consensus and ensure successful delivery of initiatives
- Expert organizational, planning and time management skills
- Expert skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
- Extensive experience demonstrating thought leadership, strategic planning, and execution to solve business problems and achieve NFCU objectives
- Expert skill in results-oriented leadership within a challenging and dynamic environments
- Expert skill in presenting findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations clearly and concisely
- Expert verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

Responsibilities - Support and manage direct reports ensuring effective collaboration, development, and delivery of portfolio and governance objects, processes, and events.
- Define and lead implementation as well as drive the maturity of Lean Portfolio Management and/or Governance and Value Tracking practices across EPMO to enhance strategic alignment and value delivery, leveraging industry expertise and real-world experience to develop pragmatic solutions to address emerging needs
- Partner with portfolio and business leaders across the enterprise and the EPMO’s operational and strategic partners to champion and drive ongoing alignment to the portfolio and EPMO management model
- Ensure alignment of EPMO portfolios, governance, and value tracking with enterprise strategy and establish effective mechanisms for strategic reporting
- Develop, manage and guide execution of EPMO operational initiatives to achieve tactical objectives and deliver on EPMO strategic goals
- Ensure decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plans
- Recommend and implement solutions or improvements to business processes
- Provide thought leadership for how the team could better drive strategic value and/or gain organizational alignment for our transformational agenda
- Ensure consistent delivery against objectives by setting standards, providing governance, enforcing accountability, and setting the pace of transformation
- Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities
- Ensure adequate/skilled staffing; select employees
- Establish performance goals and priorities
- Prepare, conduct and review performance appraisals
- Develop, mentor and counsel staff
- Provide input and/or prepare budget requirements for Annual Financial Plan (AFP)
