The Opportunity:

CACI's supply chain team has an open opportunity for a Material Program Manager who will be responsible for materials strategy and planning, inventory strategy, and all materials project initiatives from B&P through program closure located in Dulles, VA. This position is a key enabler of continuous improvement and problem solving to meet program goals.   This role will serve as the leader for all programs’ Supply Chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. The SC-MPM will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common inventory management schedules and strategies based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of responsibility for materials management and planning strategy for assigned programs.

  • Ensures optimization of materials management activities including scheduling, purchasing, contract manufacturing, inventory planning, warehousing, and indirect materials management.

  • Creating, managing, and executing material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP).

  • Overall ownership of the program supplier management process including supplier performance, critical supplier management, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy strategy, and communication of customer requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, quality, warranty, etc.

  • Facilitates interaction with Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Production and Quality Assurance in support of the business’s strategic goals.

  • Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating.

  • Participate and drive Program Performance Reviews, Supply Chain Risk & Opportunity Reviews, and Product Engineering Reviews to meet program objectives.

  • Monitoring and proactively addressing Supply Chain performance metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.

  • Drive improved supplier relationships and improvements to the division ASL.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the integrated functions of materials management in a manufacturing environment.   

  • Experience in operations, material management, project management, MRP, and production scheduling processes.

  • Proficient working knowledge of purchasing related software applications, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, including spreadsheet creation, manipulation, calculation and reporting

  • Thorough understanding of material management practices and concepts, and creating bid and proposal supply chain content

  • Familiarity with engineering bill of materials and assemblies and best practices

  • In-depth knowledge of MRP systems (manufacturing, PLM, materials management, production planning, procurement and distribution).

  • Must possess a strong customer service orientation and provide dedicated support of internal customer requirements.

  • Must have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff and to interact with various departments throughout the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to be a flexible, decisive, and proactive problem solver.

  • Must be a strong communicator and possess strong organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple priorities at once.

  • Must be able to work well in high pressure, fast-paced environment and be proficient at conflict resolution.

  • Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100

  • Ability to obtain a clearance as required to perform the job.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$77,200 - $162,200
