The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a talented, creative, and highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2025 at our Sterling, VA location to support the Remote Modular Terminal program! The internship will last 10-12 weeks and will require you to work 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:

You will work under the leadership of a technical manager that will provide OJT and mentorship. Tasks will include mechanical assembly of parts; creation of assembly, test, and integration documentation; mechanical design of 3D parts; creation of 3D and CNC parts; and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Familiarity with and interest in 3D CAD, FEA and CFD simulation, Fabrication, and 3D printing 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, ability to work independently 
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills 

Desired:

  • Experience with SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, or SolidWorks Flow Simulation 
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, but not required

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$41,700 - $83,500
