We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks MTS 2, Information Security in Scottsdale, AZ

Job Duties: Support and develop on-prem and cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) defensive tools and procedures to optimize threat mitigation and reduce malicious activity for our customers. Design solutions to improve overall security posture for incident response operations, cybersecurity analysts and threat hunters across the global business. Lead the engineering, implementation, and maintenance of security tools, solutions and processes to ensure an appropriate level of security posture. Develop detection rules across various platforms and Business Units to improve our overall detection capabilities Create automated processes and workflows to improve PayPal’s security posture and SLA adherence Perform end-to-end threat hunting cycle, including Purple Team exercises Provide situational awareness on the current threat landscape and the techniques, tactics and procedures associated with specific threats Collaborate with colleagues across the globe to impact and drive results. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Security or a related field plus seven years of experience in the job offered or a related cybersecurity occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1.    Experience evaluating threats and using the same information to build credible and efficient detections. (3 years)
2.    Experience with automation frameworks and creating robust integrations in Python (2 years) 
3.    Experience with general SIEM frameworks and ability to build detection in various languages like SPL, KQL and SQL (2 years)
4.    Experience collecting and analyzing information whilst identifying threats in the process to create an actionable outcome through playbooks or alerting. (4 years)
5.    Ability to perform threat hunting in large scale organizations using different kinds of security tools (1 year)
6.    Ability to understand normal security behavioral patterns and identifying deviations around them (1 year)
7.    Experience with security architecture and frameworks including their importance and challenges (3 years)
