Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to support a network operations program for MARFORRES (Marine Corp Reserves) intranet in Quantico, VA. The team is seeking an individual with a dynamic skill set in network operations and administration to support a critical wide area network for the U.S. Marine Corp Network Activity Center. 

Clearance: Secret clearance required 

Location: Quantico, VA (100% on-site) 

Responsibilities of the Network Operations Specialist:   

•       Monitor the infrastructure and network by responding appropriately to alerts and events

•       Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate.

•       Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services.

•       Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures.

•       Provide data center support where appropriate.

•       Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.

•       Provide incident notification to Government representatives. 

Qualifications of the Network Operations Specialist: 

• Secret clearance required
• 10+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of network operations and administration
• Experience monitoring, maintaining, administering, configuring, and/or troubleshooting Network Devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls)
• Troubleshooting outages, configuration upgrades, and monitoring and reporting outages on classified and unclassified networks.
• Network performance monitoring, network security monitoring
• IAT III certification required (CASP+, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH CCSP, CISM, CCNA Security)
• Waiver to obtain CCNP (6 months)

Compensation of the Network Operations Specialist:

•      Total compensation based on experience level – $90,000 - $125,000+

•      Full Benefits; PTO/11 Holidays, certification reimbursement, Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K Match 

•      Long term program – funded through 2028
