What you’ll be doing…

As a Network API Product Technologist, you are a multidisciplinary leader driving the development and adoption of innovative network API solutions for partners and customers. You will leverage your deep understanding of network technology and API design principles to translate customer needs into scalable and commercially viable offerings. This involves collaborating closely with internal teams, including network planning, product, and engineering, as well as external partners and standards bodies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Driving Network API Products and their Underlying Capabilities:

  • Developing network API requirements, considering performance, security, and identity aspects.

  • Influencing future network roadmaps by collaborating with network planning.

  • Gathering and analyzing customer requirements for new network APIs

  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive scalable and sustainable solutions.

  • Communicating effectively with key stakeholders to gain consensus on technical specifications and alignment with business expectations.

  • Collaborating with standards bodies to ensure select APIs are scalable across carriers.

  • Working within the API Solutioning team to develop developer-friendly onboarding experiences, test plans, metrics, and support structures for proof-of-value customers.

Engaging with Partners:

  • Defining and documenting end-to-end architectures and specifications for scalable use cases leveraging network APIs.

  • Identifying and quantifying customer KPIs linked to pain points or missing value addressable by the network, assessing potential network impact on KPI improvement.

  • Leading technical discussions, API demonstrations, and proof-of-value implementations with partners to showcase platform capabilities and drive early adoption.

  • Providing guidance to partners on API integration best practices, authentication, security models, and developer experience optimization.

  • Gathering and analyzing partner feedback on API usability, performance, and business value to inform product enhancements and refinements.

  • Collaborating with internal teams to refine API specifications based on real-world partner needs and feedback.

  • Assisting partners in troubleshooting API integration challenges, ensuring a smooth developer experience.



What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% or less of the time.

  • Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, OAuth, OpenAPI, and webhooks.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with experience in delivering technical workshops.

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage product lifecycles, and drive roadmaps from inception to completion.​

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Strong knowledge of network technology, particularly in performance, security, identity, 5G SA environments, and RAN configuration and management.

  • Experience with CAMARA API standards.

  • Experience with API monetization models, developer ecosystems, and API-first business strategies.

  • Prior experience in launching API-based products.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $144,000.00 and $267,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
