CACI is seeking a cleared Network Engineer who will be responsible for providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Designs and plans network systems. Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Conducts testing of network systems. Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization. Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. Monitors network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Monitors system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning. Works with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Provides Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Interface with Government Leads in the field and fellow staff on technical and project related items.
  • Attends meetings as appropriate and briefs as necessary on technical details of a current project status and/or milestones.
  • Focuses on the operational plan and technical execution for specific TROJAN SPIRIT and NexGEN projects.
  • Problems faced may be difficult to somewhat complex.
  • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed accordingly.
  • Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems are difficult to somewhat complex. Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialties. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.
  • Executes and provides feedback on critical design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test for the project.
  • Creates and conducts detailed test procedures to maximize network performance, isolate faults and track bandwidth usage.
  • Designs, develops, and tests various telecommunications software and hardware solutions, to include the iDirect 8350/9350 and Comtech 5650 modems, along with various other single channel networks and TDMA infrastructure.
  • Provides optimization and network improvement plans and recommendations to senior engineers.
  • Professional in the installation, operation and training of all levels of network and SATCOM equipment to include CISCO iOS routers, switches, VoIP’s, COMSEC, IP accelerators and HAIPE compliant inline network encryptors.

More About The Role:

  • Reports directly to the TROJAN SPIRIT / NexGEN fielding leads to ensure project execution in accordance with CPP requirements.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • An active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • BA/BS with at least 3 years of experience in Intelligence Systems operation and training.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience with no BA/BS degree.
  • A subject matter expert in the deployment and operation of TROJAN systems; helps to develop training and operational procedures, system engineering improvements and upgrade.
  • Expert in satellite communications (SATCOM) link initialization, troubleshooting, optimization and control; extremely proficient in communications between deployed remote terminals and network operation centers and earth terminals.
  • Proficient and comfortable with training a group of end users with varying skill levels on the technical aspects of a TROJAN SPIRIT or NexGEN system.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in a DoD Contracting Environment
  • Military Intelligence experience

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
