Job Summary:
Zachary Piper Solutions is searching for an accomplished Network Manager to spearhead a commercial program on a hybrid basis in Washington, D.C. This position is responsible for directing the creation, execution, and upkeep of network systems that facilitate data, voice, and audio communications. The ideal candidate will possess experience in network management, including leading technical teams and expertise in both unclassified and classified IT environments.
Responsibilities of the Network Manager:
- Direct the development, examination, planning, adjustment, and upkeep of networks and network components to guarantee peak performance for data, voice, and audio communications.
- Lead and develop a team of Network Analysts, Network Engineers, NOC Analysts, and Security Engineers, offering guidance and support to ensure high team performance.
- Lead the evaluation of both immediate and future capacity requirements for switching, routing, transmission, and signaling.
- Engage in network architecture planning, feasibility evaluations, cost analysis, and performance and traffic analysis. Consistently review emerging technologies to improve network efficiency and user experience.
- Deliver detailed specifications and schematics for network architecture, hardware, and software choices. Create tools and solutions to meet both current and future business demands.
- Oversee the testing and validation processes to ensure network systems are reliable and perform efficiently.
- Stay abreast of the latest in network and computer hardware/software connections, including routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.
- Implement and supervise policies, processes, and workflows affecting team operations. Manage daily activities and ensure effective coordination with customer Points of Contact (POCs).
Qualifications of the Network Manager:
- 10+ years in Network Management, with a history of managing widely distributed sites and large user bases.
- 5+ years of experience managing network engineers of various levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or Business
- Demonstrated experience with Zero Trust Networks and a solid understanding of Zero Trust Security Principles.
- Proficient in web technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, and CSS.
- Familiarity with software processes including project management, architecture/design, requirements, development, QA/QC, and deployment.
- Certifications:
- ITIL v3 Practitioner certification (must be able to obtain ITIL 4 Managing Professional within six months)
- CCNP (or equivalent, such as CCDP)
- Active U.S. Government Public Trust security clearance is required
Compensation for the Network Manager:
• Pay Range: $130,000-$170,000 **depending on experience**
