What you’ll be doing...

You’ll have a front seat to state state-of-the-art systems, applications, and infrastructures at one of the leading global technology companies. As part of National Network Operations, you’ll be responsible for mission critical infrastructure support, distribution of power, and space allocation in the Omaha NEC. You’ll coordinate all equipment preventative maintenance and break-fix instances, provide hardware support, coordinate installation, testing, and troubleshooting of transmission facilities, and support a multifaceted user community. Your work will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our network.

  • Overseeing preventative maintenance on all major data center physical infrastructure assets including UPS modules, batteries, Generators, HVAC equipment, BMS controls, fire system and other mechanical and electrical equipment. 

  • Writing, reviewing, and approving methods of procedures (MOPs) and ensuring they are being correctly followed.

  • Coordinating and tracking vendors performing the installation, operation, and maintenance of the data center, providing guidance and instruction as needed.

  • Performing financial tasks related to Data Center activity, including the management of CAPEX and OPEX budgets associated with the work you will be responsible for.

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining the physical infrastructure, network, and layout of a data center.

  • Monitoring the mechanical and electrical equipment across the company's data centers, identifying possible failures indicated by alarms and troubleshooting the issues, escalating to the appropriate teams when necessary.

  • Ensuring the data centers are meeting the compliance standards and guidelines provided by leadership.

  • Ensuring adequate HVAC, power, and bandwidth to maintain target environment for servers and other hardware.

You’re not afraid to be a leader in a fast-paced, highly-visible environment. 

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • A valid driver's license.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

  • Willingness to work various shifts and on-call rotating schedules including nights and weekends based on the needs of the business.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience working with IFP, CND, Remedy. 

  • Knowledge of Data Center Power Systems AC and DC, Fiber Distribution Systems-Including Installation, Testing, and Troubleshooting. 

  • Change Process Management-including MOP Creation, Review, and Execution. 

  • Power experience, including DC power systems, AC power systems, UPS systems, branch circuit installation for AC and DC distribution systems fed from AC PDUs and DC BDFBs. 

  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, and CRAC units.

  • Knowledge of UPS systems and backup generators.

  • Low voltage controls experience with Building Automation and Fire Systems.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction documents and drawings.

  • Familiarity with financial tools including but not limited to 1ERP and FUZE. 

  • Data Center Airflow Optimization experience. 

  • Effective Project Management and Vendor Management experience. 

  • Knowledge in PeopleSoft Account software and MS Office computer applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Access.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
