What you’ll be doing...

Customers expect our networks to perform at a high level all the time. That’s where you come in. You will investigate, evaluate and resolve network and data performance issues to ensure efficient and reliable service for our customers. The work you’ll be doing will directly impact customer satisfaction and help keep us ahead of the competition.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following...

  • Evaluating service performance trends and isolating root causes of impacted services.

  • Performing testing and analyses of relevant key performance indicators.

  • Optimizing networks using traditional and innovative means.

  • Supporting stakeholder organizations to identify and solve complex problems.

  • Identifying processes that can be improved, eliminated or automated.



What we’re looking for...

You’re tech savvy and well-versed in all things telecommunications. Working independently is as comfortable for you as being part of a team. No stranger to a fast-paced environment, you manage multiple assignments, and competing priorities while staying focused on important deadlines. You can quickly build relationships with a diverse range of people and explain complex technical issues in a way that everyone can understand. This shift will be 3:30pm to 12:00am.

You’ll need to have:​​

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. 

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • A valid driver's license.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

  • Willingness to be on call.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting routes.

  • Experience troubleshooting IPs.

  • Ability to build and run scripts on routers (Python, SQL).

  • Familiar with Nokia router backhaul products (7750 SR12, 7750SRa8, 7750SR1, 7705 SAR, 7250, 7210SAS, IXRs, IXRe, MLS a plus). As well as Ciena router products (6500, 5164).

  • Experience with Nokia/ALU CSR routers & MLS. - CSR 7705, IXRe, 7750 & Routing Protocols.

  • Experience with Ciena routers Routing Protocols.

  • Experience in working with high speed wireless technologies.

  • Experience in automation/programming and scripting.

  • General knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment.

  • General knowledge of transmission facilities (dark and lit fiber services, Ethernet, 1G, 10G, and/or 100G) and fiber testing.

  • General knowledge and understanding of routing protocols.

  • Training or experience in any of the following areas: data communications, digital communications, operating systems and applications, telecommunications, networking or router support or working knowledge of DC power rectification and battery systems.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $82,000.00 and $152,000.00 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
