The Opportunity:

CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for Operations Floor Systems/Network Technicians to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. This is a shift work position in a work center providing 24x7x365 support.

Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small-town Southern hospitality.

You’ll get to use leading edge technology as you sustain and defend the networks our Air Force warfighters use in the CENTCOM theater. From a career perspective, this program provides opportunity for upward and lateral mobility, by moving up to positions of increased responsibility or moving laterally across work centers to apply your expertise in other disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 Tier 1 enterprise IT help desk technical support to deployed users.
  • Troubleshoot and implement solutions to resolve incidents and problems on supported systems/network infrastructure, to include enterprise-level routers, switches, servers, firewalls, proxies, and caching arrays.
  • Monitor systems/network performance metrics and trends to identify substandard performance and anomalies.
  • Escalate complex systems/network performance, bandwidth and security issues and incidents to senior engineers/SMEs (Tier 2 and 3) for analysis and resolution.
  • Operate network intrusion devices and information assurance tools.
  • Provide oral and written briefs, presentations, and professional reports to Government senior leaders and decision makers.
  • Develop and review detailed or complex technical documents.

You may also have an opportunity to:

  • Deploy/travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR to support operations, projects, and training as required (up to 10%).
  • Deploy/travel to CONUS locations (up to 10%).

Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
  • Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ experience; OR 5 or more years’ relevant experience.
  • Firewall experience.

Relevant experience:

  • Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • CCNA certification.
  • TIL Foundation certification within 60 days of your start date.

Desired:

  • Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$56,000 - $117,500
