Location: Multiple states within the U.S.                      

Amount of Travel Required: >25%

Work Schedule: Mon.-Fri Office/Flexible Remote (schedule will be determined)

Positions Supervised: N/A

AIP Level: Level 5 – 15%

POSITION SUMMARY: The OSC Manager will be to manage all documentation generation and knowledge management of the OSC. This position will assist team with organization of the support of the on-call scheduling of support to all fleets. OSC Manager will ensure that all projects and operating software is functioning correctly and effectively to support the OSC Tech Support Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'may.')

  • Performs daily safe operations according to company policies.
  • Performs routine evaluation of generated content in relation to Bloomfire/Jira to provide accurate and efficient support to the OPS/TECH/GAS/TURBINE/DATA teams.
  • Troubleshoots and performs necessary electrical repairs to malfunctioning equipment during rig up processes and/or during normal operations.
  • Provides management of the documentation that will be generated by the OSC Support Techs ensuring all data is gathered and captured.
  • Ensures the proper approvals are captured before documentation uploading takes place in knowledge management software.
  • Communication with the SRE team to ensure adequate communication of root cause and mitigation is completed and shared for issues directly associated with the operations.
  • Properly schedules OSC support team to stay relevant by engaging in equipment documentation and the retention of mitigation during troubleshooting events.
  • Establishes efficient processes and innovative ideas to be created and implemented to promote remote troubleshooting and triage support to the field teams.
  • Communicates and collaborates with the Asset Integrity Team for evaluation of the level of support being provided.
  • Manages program software parameters to PLCs, VFDS, routers, switches, berthold, and other related programmable equipment ensuring all is organized and easily located.
  • Participates in company safety initiatives including daily programs (written documentation, observations, etc.) and adheres to policies and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees and drive operational excellence.
  • Works as a team with the fleet technicians and Electrical Supervisors to manage efficiencies when starting up new pads before well open.
  • Complies with all government, industry and EVO regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
  • High proficiency in the maintenance of pumps, blenders, and power generation equipment.
  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate, consistent with the company’s Operational Training Matrix and employee’s progression plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
  • Collaborate to find guidance through the SME defined groups for direct hands-on approach, if needed.
  • Does not provide any technical advice or instruction on technical troubleshooting-SME will give these instructions and/or advise.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily overtime required and in person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED. Technical College and or College Degree is preferred
  • 5 years previous electronics experience required OR Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or related field.
  • Previous oilfield experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prove high aptitude in technical skillsets and competencies as listed below.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
  • Attends and successfully completes annual safety and recertification training.
  • Ability to lead team in focused discussions around electrical safety and electrical practices.
  • Possesses fundamental knowledge of fracturing equipment.
  • Highly proficient in usage of multimeter testing device.
  • In depth proficiency in the communication of pumps, blenders, and power generation equipment.
  • Intermediate mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to receive instruction well and interact in a positive manner within assigned work groups.
  • Possess intermediate interpersonal skills.
  • Possess the ability to plan and execute electronics projects on worksite.
  • Possess intermediate proficiency in Microsoft platforms.
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change and receptive to new instructions.
  • Fully knowledgeable, compliant and takes initiative to promote and work with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems. For new hires, ability to quickly learn company platforms.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. When required to go to a wellsite, employees may rideshare with multiple employees. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, arc flash suits, safety hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, high voltage gloves, and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. OSC Support Manager are regularly required to lift heavy objects; therefore, OSC Support Manager must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50 100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
