Job Description

Job Duties: Associate, Product Management with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, New York. Execute end-to-end product lifecycle management for impactful features with the business, leveraging knowledge of financial products, regulations, and industry terminology. Utilize knowledge of SQL, Python, Excel, Alteryx, and other business intelligence tools to analyze data, identify patterns, and drive data-driven product decision-making. Collaborate closely with cross-functionality teams including engineering, design, compliance, legal, and risk to define product requirements that satisfy all stakeholders including what is best for the customer. Have a baseline understand of financial regulations to understand stakeholders better and improve controls. Write compelling user stories with customers and customer service representatives as your main characters; empathize with your customers and be their voice. Ensure a healthy backlog of substantive work. Understand how systems operate including how to navigate API specs, architecture diagrams, and other technology specific terminology to make sure you can understand limitations and what is being developed. Champion agile methodologies leading different engineering teams and using tools like Jira to facilitate effective product development. 

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related Engineering field, such as Mechanical Engineering or related field. Two (2) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: identifying technology systems and technical language, including API, Kafka, Get, and Post; Financial domains, including compliance and regulatory knowledge; working through full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including how to take a feature from thought to implementation; performing quantitative analysis using business intelligence tools; defining a product’s strategy and driving improvements; and understanding and executing agile methodology.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $115,000/year - $175,000/year.
