- Customer support engineer, focusing on PMIC
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Qualcomm customer which developing PC/Mobile/tablet based on Qualcomm solution
- Help chipset OEMs to understand Qualcomm software solution on PMIC, give customers training of Qualcomm products
- Help and guide customer engineers to resolve the issues in using Qualcomm PMIC chip and software drivers
- Play consultant/expert role, trouble shooting, identify problem reported by customers, analysis and narrow down the root cause and fix problems time
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
(All competencies below are required upon entry)
- Debug skill-Strong embedded software debugging skills on driver/system level on real time operating systems or Windows/android system/Linux driver
- CPU technology - Familiarity with ARM or other (X86, MIPS, PowerPC) architecture, assembly, emulators/JTAG-debuggers.
- PMIC technology - Sound knowledge of Power Management including Buck converter, boost converter and LDO (Linear Dropout Regulator),SMPS
- Charging technology - Sound Knowledge on Switch Mode and linear chargers, Fuel gauge / battery monitoring system/charging pump experience on mobile phone/tablet/auto.
- Hardware Experience - Reading hardware schematic, Experience with test equipment such as Oscilloscope/Logic Analyzers tools
- Communication - The ability to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery (e.g., email, phone, face-to-face). This includes using a technically sound communication style both verbally and in writing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
- 3+ years’ experience with debugging techniques in android.
- 3+ years’ experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
- 1+ years’ experience in a customer-facing role.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
