Job Summary:

Under general supervision, uses advanced knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or training to assist money managers by creating and executing trades based on product models and guidelines. Established procedures and prescribed guidelines are provided to perform a variety of tasks requiring evaluation, originality or ingenuity in making complex decisions. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to identify, research, and resolve problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overlays accounts to pre-defined trading models and executes trades based on product guidelines.
  • Analyzes data for outliers of current positions versus models.
  • Assists with the review of accounts to ensure they meet the portfolio managers specifications.
  • Frequently creates large block trade allocations to determine number of shares for execution.
  • Determines method of execution for large block trade orders (including limits, use of local markets for ADR conversions and Authorized Participants for ETF creation or redemption units).
  • Communicates with outside managers regarding execution, model discrepancies.
  • Allocates cash flows into accounts.
  • Researches complex account errors and provide necessary corrections.
  • Updates trading models based on data provided by outside money managers.
  • Ongoing monitoring of manager models based on historical update frequency to ensure models are current.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • General knowledge of managed accounts.
  • Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.
  • Financial markets and investment products and services.
  • Fundamental mathematical ability sufficient to accurately and efficiently calculate transactions.

Skill in:

  • Advanced analytical skills identify relationships, draw logical conclusions and interpret results for use in decision-making.
  • Personal resilience while providing a high level customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.

Ability to:

  • Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple activities/tasks simultaneously and complete work efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor%26rsquos Degree in a related field and a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years%26rsquo experience in financial services industry/managed accounts.
