Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Principal Network Engineer who will support a government contract in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities for the Principal Network Engineer:

•       Designs, configures, tests, implements and maintains telecommunications capabilities, including wide area and local area networks

•        Performs engineering, operations and support activities

•       Designs architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements

•       Evaluates network changes for operational impact

•       Monitors and evaluates network performance and resolves problems

•       Supports hardware and software diagnostic tools

•       Provides technical leadership and applies this leadership in any phase of the system development life cycle support as task requirements dictate and may have a high level of expertise in one area

•       Plans, recommends, and performs changes

•       Utilizes an accomplished knowledge of multiple technical disciplines, unique applications, and business management practices to develop technical and/or business solutions to client problems

Qualifications for the Principal Network Engineer:

•       5+ years of Network Engineering/Administration experience

•       Clearance: TS/SCI CI poly

•       Must have hands on experience with Cisco and Juniper computer networks

•       Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree, preferred

Compensation for the Principal Network Engineer:

• $120,000 – $180,000 *Depending on Experience.
• Cigna Medical, dental, vision, 11 Holiday, 401k, 2-week PTO and Sick leave as required by law
