Job Summary
A senior leadership leading the firms strategic approach to delivering high-quality private markets investment opportunities to private wealth clients, including direct and fund investments. As a member of our Global Wealth Solutions organization leadership team, this position leads a team that sources direct investments and collaborates with other teams in Private Client Group (%26ldquo;PCG%26rdquo;) and Capital Markets that source and underwrite both direct and fund investments. This position plays a pivotal leadership role on the committee that approves private markets products and other alternative investment offerings, drives the client-centered decision making that defines Raymond James, oversees the Alternative Investments sales team (including both private markets and evergreen offerings, such as hedge funds), performs early-stage analysis of potential opportunities, along with collaborating with PCG and Capital Markets origination, investment research, operational due diligence, and operations teams on the frequency and mix of investment opportunities and ideal experience for clients (i.e., structure, pricing, timing, etc.).

In addition, develops and refines the PCG distribution and product support model to drive adoption and optimal client and advisor experience; coordinate, maintain, and drive awareness of an integrated pipeline of currently available investment opportunities; partners with investment bankers to represent the firms capital raising capabilities to prospective issuers; and foster continued adoption of alternative investments within PCG by participating in conferences and education initiatives, leveraging firm marketing, and partnering with the Investment Strategy team.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of
Advanced knowledge of the alternatives industry, particularly private markets
Advanced knowledge of complex investment products (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, real estate, private credit, etc.) and the markets in which they invest
Strong sense of risk/reward trade-offs, and an ability to display sound investment judgement and analysis
Competitive landscape (i.e., alternative investment platforms of other wealth management firms)
Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations
Quantitative and qualitative understanding of the investment management business and performance measurement
Macro and micro economics and their impact on investment strategies
Financial markets, products, financial advisory function, and investment process
Advanced investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry

Skill in

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Bachelor's in Business Administration or Finance
MBA preferred
Twenty (20) years of experience in private markets

Licenses/Certifications (Preferred)
CFA
CAIA
