Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Location: Houston, TX (Channelview area)      

Amount of Travel Required: <10%

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.       

AIP: Level 5                           

Positions Supervised: Project Managers and Applications Analyst.

POSITION SUMMARY: The  Production Control and Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the production scheduling, inventory control, and materials management to ensure efficient and timely production processes. They work closely with various departments to coordinate production activities, monitor workflow, and optimize resources to meet production goals. Additionally, they analyze data, implement process improvements, and develop strategies to increase productivity and reduce costs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'May.')

  • Coordinate production activities across various departments to ensure efficient workflow and meet production goals.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Develop strategies to streamline production processes, increase efficiency, and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production issues and implement solutions.
  • Train and mentor staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on production progress and address any concerns.
  • Optimize resources to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully passes background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • When on assignment at pad site, daily overtime required and in-person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • High School diploma required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

  • Able to communicate in a technical manner with clients.
  • Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
  • Efficient at Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)

The Production Control and Planning Manager primarily works in a warehouse/shop environment that makes them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls. Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. Additionally, the Production Control and Planning Manager may work indoors and could be subjected to prolonged periods of sitting at a at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. When required to visit a wellsite, work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. The Production Control and Planning Manager may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently, and 50 100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
