Job Description:

CACI is seeking an Engineering Project Team Lead!  As a Team Lead with CACI Mission & Engineering Support, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC). Your primary responsibility will be to deliver accurate, relevant, and timely mission support while coordinating and integrating input from team members across various assigned projects.  In your capacity as a liaison between your assigned directorate and the CACI team, you will ensure that team members are well-equipped to meet contract requirements and exceed customer expectations.

Throughout the year, JNWC team members deploy in support of U.S. military operations and exercises, delivering critical expertise in Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) to U.S. conventional and special forces. These exercises enable units to train effectively and prepare for future missions. Recent deployments have included locations such as Spain, Belgium, Germany, Hawaii, Texas, and North Carolina.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate closely with team leads from other directorates.

  • Enhance communication and facilitate effective collaboration, optimizing support for the JNWC. 

  • Manage institutional knowledge through the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and checklists.

  • Ensure that team members are engaged, empowered to learn and grow, and capable of providing exceptional support to customers which will be essential to your leadership. 

  • Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and provide valuable insights to government and military customers will be a key aspect of your role.

  • Implement systems and processes to manage production workflows, track contract deliverables, and ensure quality and value in all outputs.

  • Oversee and manage assigned contract personnel, identifying opportunities to optimize team capabilities and facilitate efficient support for the JNWC mission.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical/mechanical engineering or modeling and simulation

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

  • A deep understanding of the Joint Navigation Warfare Center’s Mission, Processes and Objectives

  • 2+ years of proven leadership experience

  • Ability to lead, delegate responsibility for tasks and taskings and display a sense of urgency as you go about your work

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills in addition to good organization and time management skills

  • Proven experience building and maintaining strong customer relationships

  • Proficiency in CACI software and application

  • In-depth knowledge of CACI policies, processes, and available resources

  • Endorsement and support from your current team and leadership

  • Team members currently on waivers are not eligible for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Completion of a Department of Defense leadership course for commissioned or non-commissioned officers
