Job Description

Job Title:  Quality Engineer - Supplied Air

Location:  Cadillac, MI

Business Unit:  Avon Protection

Purpose of Position:

Maintain and improve the Quality of the SAVS products and associated parts using a Right First Time methodology.

Essential duties and/or Functions:

• Direct/lead QA auditors
• Prepare RFC’s for quality documents
• Review NCMN’s
• Manage customer and internal concerns, lead problem resolution initiatives with 8D methodology
• Production part Approval on all SAVS components
• Establish, maintain, improve and institutionalize quality standards on SAVS production cells
• Participate/lead Material Review Board (MRB) where appropriated
• Identify and launch systems that can be institutionalized to improve Quality, Costs and Delivery in the SAVS
• Establish and maintain appropriate RIAF’s and associated measurement tools and methods
• Support the business as necessary to deliver its targets
• Other duties as required such as supplier audits. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree level in Mechanical/Material/Manufacturing Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment
• Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing training preferred

Preferred/Desired Skills or Experiences:

• PC literate in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to read product drawings
• Effective and efficient troubleshooting.  Logical methodology of work. Fact based decision making 
• Ability to write professional reports/documents

The anticipated annual salary for candidates who will work in Cadillac, MI is $65,000 - 85,000 annually.  The final compensation offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
