Reports To: Director of Manufacturing 

Location: Houston, Texas 

Amount of Travel Required: <10% 

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday,  8 a.m. – 5 p.m.                                     

Positions Supervised: None 

POSITION SUMMARY: This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining all Quality Processes, to ensure all deliverables are meeting consistent standards. The Quality Manager leads the Quality Department, offering support and guidance to the team. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Create SOP’s surrounding quality control to ensure efficiency & high standards in delivery.
  • Provide leadership to Quality Control Team members and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Responsible for delivering documentation requested by clients.
  • Eliminate duplication of duties between roles by conducting job analysis regularly.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
  • Devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes.
  • Setting requirements for suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
  • Identify and develop new processes to ensure timely responses to customer requests. 
  • Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
  • Conduct QC system audits regularly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful business operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Successfully passes background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • In-person, predictable attendance.
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in English required, bilingual in Spanish a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL 

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 0-5 years of experience related to Quality Control Inspection required.
  • Specific knowledge of gas turbine, natural gas engines, and battery systems is a plus.
  • Experience as a manager with direct reports is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES 

  • Able to communicate in a technical manner around clients. 
  • Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.  
  • Efficient at Microsoft office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Ability to take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.

The Quality Manager primarily works in a warehouse/shop environment that makes them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls. Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. Additionally, the Quality Manager may work indoors and could be subjected to prolonged periods of sitting at a at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. When required to visit a wellsite, work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. The Quality Manager may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently, and 50 100 lbs. with a team lift. 

 Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
