Job Title:  Range Technician

Location:  Cleveland, OH

Business Unit:  Team Wendy

Purpose of Position:

We are currently looking for a skilled Ballistic Range Quality Technician to manage the testing and evaluation process for the development of advanced ballistic protective products. This is a critical role that requires in-depth knowledge of ballistic technology and the ability to oversee all aspects of the testing and evaluation process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all testing is conducted in compliance with industry standards and that all products are thoroughly evaluated for quality and performance. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about ballistic protection and looking to make a significant impact in this field.

Essential Duties and/or Functions:

  • Review and become a subject matter expert on relevant testing standards, methods, and procedures. 
  • Help develop, set up, and follow established test plans and procedures to support production testing.
  • Complete the testing of new or improved designs to validate they meet customer and/or internally driven requirements.
  • Support design and implementation of testing equipment and fixtures.
  • Analyze test data using statistics and other established reporting formats and techniques.
  • Communicate test results clearly in written reports/formal presentations and make general recommendations based on analysis of testing results.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Support and contribute content for compliance with all company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and test protocols.
  • Experience adhering to safety procedures and protocols.

Preferred/Desired Skills and/or Experiences:

  • Firearms experience is preferred. 
  • Prior experience in a ballistic testing environment is preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in an Engineering or relevant Science discipline. 
  • Quality certifications
  • Prior CPR and first aid training

  • LAT Testing DOD Ballistic Testing Requirements
  • DCMA - Vendor 3RD Party Support

Required Training:

  • Complete RSO Training with 90 days 
  • ISO 9001-2015 Understanding

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $19.00 to $23.00 per hour.  The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
