Job Description Summary:

We are looking for an Android Engineer who has experience creating Mobile SDK's and has familiarity with modern clean Android architectural standards. Looking for a confident independent contributor comfortable pushing and reviewing high complexity PRs. Must enjoy owning features end to end and working alongside other Android engineers, backend teams, architects, product, and design.

• You will work on all aspects of the Android code base for the PayPal Deals and Rewards hub. You will work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Leads on other teams, all to make sure we are delivering high quality work that our customers can use to find the best deals and discounts PayPal can offer.

  Your day to day

  Design, Develop and build projects using Java and Kotlin - Must be fluent in Kotlin

  • Write code that is designed to be reusable, flexible, testable and modular and that can be shared amongst other teams.
  • Bring product and code improvement ideas to the team.
  • Work with engineering managers and product to break down high level user requirements into more granular engineering level stories.

  What do you need to bring-

  •       At least 4 years of experience using common design patterns in the development of mobile applications, such as MVC and MVVM.

  •       Solid understanding of mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.

  •       Solid knowledge of algorithms with good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  •       Experience with creating custom components and dynamic layouts in Android.

  •       Experience with a version control system.

  •       Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

  •       Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation.

  •       Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent assignments with different priorities.
