As Senior, IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing IT Systems Analyst and Developer Staff duties within the Qualcomm Cork Office. You will lead a team analysts and developers and collaborate with Global, cross-functional teams to support our initiatives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of IT Professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets Project and Program initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other global IT teams to complete project work.
  • Manages the performance of team members by meeting regularly with each member to discuss current and future state of key projects, identifies developmental opportunities, and evaluates performance based on key metrics.
  • Develops, coaches, and mentors members of the team and provides development assignments
  • Works with Qualcomm San Diego office to allocate workload (which includes key decisions, project management, and resource allocation) among team members by taking into consideration employee availability, skill set, and current workload when making assignments.
  • Provides insight and supports the evolution of applications, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of how current processes impact business operations across multiple domains.

Application Development  Management

:Demonstrated experience with Agile SAFE Methodologies

  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds
  • Experience with Adobe AEM
  • Significant development experience with Java Frameworks
  • Provide mentoring and assistance on development tasks
  • Collaborate closely with Qualcomm US based staff to ensure program and project alignment
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in application development.
  • Develop and execute a long-term application strategy aligned with the company's goals.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Level of Responsibility

  • Working independently with little supervision.
  • Providing supervision to direct reports.
  • Making decisions that are moderate in impact; Errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; Errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct. 
  • Using visual, verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. May require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.
  • Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions).
  • Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
  • Using deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.
  • Exercising creativity is needed to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

8+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR
12+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

2+ years of experience leading projects/programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR
9+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

• 4+ years in a leadership role in projects/programs.
