What you’ll be doing...

The Public Sector Partner team has an opening for a Sr. Client Partner to build deeper relationships with our System Integrator Partners to drive new attack revenue aligned with our product portfolio.  This person will be responsible for educating S.I.’s on the Verizon strategic portfolio as well as designing, developing and executing the SI Partner Community to create new avenues to drive incremental revenue in the Federal and SLED space.  This role will identify new, product based solutions and will work closely with internal business partners to forecast future needs and to develop cost effective strategies aligned with business objectives.  They will also be responsible for driving strategy and selection of partners in key bid pursuits, along with negotiation and execution of NDAs, teaming agreements, and subcontracts with the Sourcing and Legal teams.  The position will be required to work with subject matter experts and executives from various teams to include: BD, Sales, Capture, Proposals, Contracts, and Legal. 

  • What we’re looking for...

  • Applying Verizon's capabilities, products and services to develop and build sustainable relationships with System Integrators, TEMs (WidePoint, TurningPoint), and other defense contractors

  • Effectively managing the business relationships with strategic partners

  • Establishing and maintaining working relationships with partners

  • Impacting and influencing decisions within and outside the organization.

  • Leveraging strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing, and achieving objectives.

  • Measuring the quality and quantity of work efforts for the purpose of meeting and improving partner deliverables.

  • Holding partners  accountable for performance by utilizing key performance metrics.

  • Managing escalation processes with key stakeholders

  • Pipeline management

  • Executive level readouts



You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Partner/vendor management experience

  • Proven experience managing customer/partner requirements and escalations.

  • Strong leadership  experience with a proven ability to engage and influence collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders.



Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree

  • Industry experience with strong competency in System Integrators with a focus on Public Sector and contracts

  • Development and delivery of executive communications via advanced knowledge of Sheets/Slides

  • Results oriented and deadline driven.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with products and services provided in the Telecom/Networking industry.

Where you’ll be working

In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $116,000.00 and $215,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
