Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect Engineer to join our client supporting the Air Force Research Lab's Space Vehicles MS&A Studies team. This is a Direct Hire job opportunity that will require occasional travel between sites in Albuquerque NM, Los Angeles CA, and Colorado Springs, CO. The Senior Cloud Architect Engineer will be responsible for leading the successful transition of Ground System components to operations, ensuring alignment with mission operations and applying advanced Systems Engineering processes to drive end-to-end digital engineering transformation for space and ground systems within a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Architect Engineer:

•       Ensure the successful transition of all Ground System hardware and software components to operations, including proper checkout with mission operations.

•       Support the coordination and troubleshooting efforts to ensure Ground System transitions to operations both physically and virtually.

•       Work closely with mission operations to support OPSCON/CONOPS execution across the DOTMLPF-P spectrum.

•       Lead and facilitate the planning, construction, documentation, and execution of Systems Engineering processes and methodologies across the systems development lifecycle.

•       Integrate and document end-to-end systems engineering and MS&A process workflows, including schedule review, prioritization, and approval.

•       Mentor and oversee program-wide Systems Engineers to ensure contract deliverables are planned, developed, managed, and fulfilled effectively.

Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Architect Engineer:

•       10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with space or ground systems engineering and system-of-systems (SoS) development and integration.

•       Working knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF) architecture views standards, syntaxes, and formulation for space and ground systems.

•       Hands-on experience in developing complex space- or ground-based SoS technical baselines, including hierarchical requirements and V&V planning and execution.

•       Proficiency in SysML modeling and simulation (M&S) tools.

•       Experience in applying and executing Systems Engineering processes and best practices, including architecture design, requirements management, and knowledge management.

•       Strong interpersonal and team-building skills, with clear and concise written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
